Requirements for yearly Geotechnical Engineering and Inspection Services have exceeded the District’s bid limits.  The selection was conducted in accordance with Florida Statute 287.055.  The project was advertised for three consecutive weeks with The Clay County Leader, Inc.  Selection Committee members were Jim Connell – Director of Facility Planning and Construction, Tom Smith – Director of Maintenance, and Carol Vallencourt – School Board Member.   

As a result of interviews and after due consideration, the Selection Committee recommends the following firms as listed in priority order:

1.  Ellis & Associates, Inc.

2.  Universal Engineering Sciences

3.  MACTEC Engineering & Consulting, Inc.

Financial impact cannot be determined at this time.  Geotechnical Engineering and Inspection Services are generated by land acquisition, design, or operational requirements.  The funding is derived from the project that generates the requirements.
